Music Director James Levine conducts Mozart’s immortal score, with Matthew Polenzani leading the cast as Tamino, the fearless prince who sets out to rescue the beautiful Pamina, sung by Lisa Milne. They are joined by Matthias Goerne as the birdcatcher Papageno, Erika Miklósa as the evil Queen of the Night, and a marvelous duo of basses: the great Kurt Moll as Sarastro and René Pape in the small but crucial role of the Speaker.
