Peter Maag conducts a sensational cast in this performance of one of the greatest operas in the repertoire. Cesare Siepi is Don Giovanni, a role he owned for more than two decades, opposite Edda Moser as Donna Anna and Pilar Lorengar as Donna Elvira. George Shirley sings Don Ottavio, Anna’s fiancé, who tries to avenge the murder of her father, the Commendatore (John Macurdy). Ezio Flagello is Giovanni’s servant and unwilling partner in crime, Leporello.
