George Shirley is Tamino, the young prince who suddenly finds himself on a mission to find Pamina (Judith Raskin), the abducted daughter of the Queen of the Night (Roberta Peters). With his companion, the bird-catcher Papageno (Theodor Uppman), Tamino sets out to rescue Pamina from the realm of the evil Sarastro (John Macurdy)—only to realize that good and evil are not always what they seem.
