New Productions

New productions are integral to the artistic success of each Met season. Production underwriters support additions to the repertory that give pleasure to audiences over many years. In return, funders gain a special involvement in the artistic life of the Met. New production funders are recognized on the title page of the program for gifts of $250,000 or more.

For an annual gift of $250,000, underwriters receive:

  • Recognition in every performance program of the opera during the life of the production
  • Tickets and dinner for the Premiere Performance
  • An invitation to the opening night cast party
  • Membership in the Council for Artistic Excellence

At the $500,000 level, underwriters receive all above benefits, plus:

  • Opportunities to meet the artists and production staff during the rehearsal process
  • Special privileges tailored to the artistic interest of each donor
