International Council

The International Council includes individuals and corporate executives who appreciate and love grand opera and who are involved in the arts at the highest international levels.  This select group of international Metropolitan Opera Patrons is provided with a high level of ticket priority and a staff member on whom they can call for all matters related to the Met.

Membership Benefits and Privileges

Members ($35,000 annual contribution) receive the following:

• An invitation for two to attend an exclusive weekend meeting in New York City during the Metropolitan Opera season.   The weekend includes the best seats for Met performances, meetings with senior Met Management, invitations to cast parties after the opera, a private recital by a major artist, and events in private homes with Metropolitan Opera Board members.
• VIP ticket priority for all Metropolitan Opera performances throughout the season (September – May)
• Invitations to events exclusively for Major Gift Patrons
• Invitation to an annual recital by members of the Met’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program and artist reception
• Priority reservations at the Grand Tier Restaurant
• Prominent recognition in Playbill and The Season Book as a member of the Council
