Twyla Tharp World Premiere - American Ballet Theatre

Twyla Tharp has choreographed more than one hundred thirty-five dances, five Hollywood movies, several Broadway shows, and has received accolades around the world. Celebrating her over twenty-year relationship with ABT, this esteemed choreographer creates a thrilling World Premiere this spring, inspired by an ABT-commissioned score from renowned Hollywood film composer Danny Elfman (Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Spider-Man). Rounding out the program, Harald Lander’s Etudes is an affectionate and exhilarating tribute to the very art form of classical dance, set to music by Carl Czerny. Often hailed for its choreographic fireworks, Etudes is the quintessential fusion of art and technique.
