Volpe Gala

The 2005-06 Season ends with a grand finale - a special gala honoring Joseph Volpe as he retires from his position as The Met's general manager.

Many of the greatest singers from the world of opera will gather on The Met stage for this once-in-a-lifetime concert to celebrate Mr. Volpe and his years at The Metropolitan Opera, a truly memorable career spanning more than four decades since he joined the Company in 1964.

Following the performance, the celebration continues at a festive supper-dance with the evening's artists. Mark the date on your calendar now.
