Enrico Caruso sang the role of Dick Johnson in the world premiere of Puccini's Wild West opera at the Met in 1910.

With the exception of the title role and the secondary character of Wowkle, Fanciulla featured an all-male ensemble and chorus in the world premiere production in 1910. Seen here are some of the miners in Act I.
