Earlier this season, Music Director James Levine announced his return to the Met after what will be a nearly two-year hiatus due to injury. On May 19, he conducts the MET Orchestra in a concert at Carnegie Hall, and next season, he will be on the Met podium to lead performances of Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Verdi’s Falstaff, and Berg’s Wozzeck. Maestro Levine sat down with the Met’s Margaret Juntwait to discuss his impending return.
