The Met celebrated its first 125 years in grand style last Sunday, March 15.
A host of star singers took the stage for the 125th Anniversary Gala in recreations of classic productions from the company's history. The performance also honored Plácido Domingo's 40 years at the Met. The legendary tenor, who made his debut in 1968, was heard in excerpts from operas by Puccini, Verdi, and Wagner.
