Please be advised that auditions for the Metropolitan Opera’s 2008/2009 production of LA DAMNATION DE FAUST will be as follows:

In order to fulfill this engagement you must be available for rehearsals May 12 – 16, 2008 ; August 25 through September 6, 2008; October 6, through November 4, 2008, and as needed; and for performances scheduled for: November 7, 10, 14, 18, 22 matinee, 25, 29 matinee, and December 4, 2008.
The choreographer for women, Johanne Madore, is looking for excellent classical and contemporary female dances of medium tall height (approximately 5’6”) with good flexibility of legs and back, be able to perform on a high platform, and jump through a trap door in the dark.
The choreographer for men, Alain Gauthier, is looking for male dancers with acrobatic and aerial experience, who are of medium height (5’6” – 5’8” ) who are agile at climbing (in a harness), can be a strong partner, and can work at heights. Some rigging experience an asset.
Please enter the Metropolitan Opera (Lincoln Center) on the Concourse level. Directions will be given there.
Auditions will be held in Room C19.
If you are an AGMA member please bring your VALID AGMA membership card with you. Please also bring a photo resume with you to the audition.

Sergei Gritsai, the choreographer, is looking for classical and modern dancers, well versed in ballet and modern techniques. Ladies, if you dance on pointe please bring pointe shoes.
In order to fulfill this engagement you would need to be available for rehearsals from August 11, through August 15, 2008; from January 12, 2009, through the final dress scheduled for February 3, and as needed; and for performances scheduled for February 6, February 10, 13, 17, 21 matinee, 25, and 28
