Independent arrivals at the PARK LANE HOTEL on Central Park South. Welcome reception and dinner at the hotel.

OPTIONAL CHOICES: Strauss’s ARIADNE AUF NAXOS at the Metropolitan Opera (approx. $185.00) – or a BROADWAY SHOW of your choice (approx. $185.00) – or the evening free. Lunch today at the world famous, fashionable LE CIRQUE restaurant. Jacket and tie required. Afternoon at leisure.

Bizet’s CARMEN (Metropolitan Opera - 8:00 PM). New Production. The cast: Maija Kovalevska, Olga Borodina, Brandon Jovanovich, Mariusz Kwiecien. Alain Altinoglu conducts. Production by Richard Eyre, sets and costumes by Rob Howell, choreography by Christopher Wheeldon.

Saturday, February 6
Morning at leisure.

Verdi’s SIMON BOCCANEGRA (Metropolitan Opera - 1:00 PM). The cast: Adrianne Pieczonka, Marcello Giordani, Plácido Domingo, James Morris. James Levine conducts. Production by Giancarlo del Monaco, sets and costumes by Michael Scott.

Dinner this evening under the glittering Austrian chandeliers at the GRAND TIER in the Metropolitan Opera House.

Donizetti’s LA FILLE DU RÉGIMENT (Metropolitan Opera - 8:00 PM). The cast: Diana Damrau, Felicity Palmer, Kiri Te Kanawa, Juan Diego Flórez, Maurizio Muraro. Marco Armiliato conducts. Production and costumes by Laurent Pelly, sets by Chantal Thomas, choreography by Laura Scozzi.
